Employment of Ukrainian specialists in Poland

In Ukraine, there is a very hard economic crisis and many pepole have lost their jobs. Now many highly qualified, skilled and unskilled workers want to work abroad.
I would like to know your opinion on the employment of Ukrainians in Poland.

Hi.Today to reach the Polish economic crisis but I think that in some areas of the industry will not be so bad as to why workers in Ukraine I think How much is minimum for Ukrainians to work in the construction eg. Sincerely,

From just recently (only two days ago) published news it appears that there is some problem with employing foreign workers in Poland, in general.

To summarize the translation - it turns out a foreigner from the non-EU country, can get a job only while having the permission to work or permanent residency status, and the exact reverse turns out to be also a mandatory condition... well welcome to Poland...

This is, of course, due to the enormous delay of the civil servants performing their jobs (up to 8 months), and (as you may well expect being yourself an Ukrainian), the lack of the clear, straightforward law, as well.

I was thinking of employing the Ukrainians myself, not the highly skilled ones, just some physical workers.
But it seems I will have to make do with Poles... unfortunatelly....

From EU to Ukraine? Probably unlikely to that who wants to go to a foreign country where wages and social security is worse that in their native country.

Ukrainians need a work visa. But I know that Poland as a preparation for the Euro 2012 greatly simplified the procedure of working visas for a number of job specialties for the workers from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus.

To make a work permit the Ukrainian worker need (further citation from consulate of Poland in Ukraine):
"Oryginał i kopia przyrzeczenia na zatrudnienie w RP, wystawionego przez wojewodę lub inny podmiot uprawniony do wystawienia potwierdzenia zatrudnienia, w przypadkach określonych odpowiednimi przepisami prawa, określającymi rodzaje zatrudnienia, w których zezwolenie wojewody nie jest wymagane, np. zaświadczenie rektora wyższej uczelni
Oryginał i kopia oświadczenia o zamiarze powierzenia pracy cudzoziemcowi, zarejestrowany w powiatowym urzędzie pracy"

There may be a possibility for unskilled workers in agriculture.Many farmers each year struglling to cope with their farms cos lack of people intrested to work there.

I bet you might have lot of interst from Ukraine as long as there'll be dodgy job market,but on the other hand try to find out,what demand is from Polish employers,becouse it's cruicial to do a research.

They wait for ever to get an answer and the civil servants check back as long as several years through their history and so on, therefore you never know whether you'll finally get a job permit or a "Zonk".
Moreover - that has also hit the news lately - the "Solidarity" Union along with other workers' organisations start raising their heads to seek protection within the laws to prevent employing foreigners, as the crisis gets ready to rumble through Poland as well.

Hi, there is a huge demand for skilled labour force in major cities like Wroclaw, Warszawa, Krakow ,no matter what our government is trying to do to save the market, the number of Ukrainian is growing every month.Some of them legaly some of them not.Simply because Poles have become too lazy and too demanding over last 10 years.Theese are the facts.I would employ a skilled car mechanic and a sprayer myself.If you know anyone let me know.Good civilized conditions guaranteed.

In fact, in Ukraine a normal labor market exists only in big cities, and the further from these cities the worse. Several years ago I had a conversation in a train with one man, saying that went to serve in the army on a contract with a wage in 1000 hryvnia (about 84 euros at current exchange rate) because in the place where he lives there was not any work. A salary of medical staff is 1200 hryvnias (100 euros), teachers salary is about 1000 hryvnas (84 euros) ... So the potential for such activities is large. And when Ukraine will become a prosperous country, I hope it will be soon, I can invite ,for example, foreign citizens in my country. There are many opportunities here.

It would be interesting to learn how to accelerate the process of obtaining work permits. Are almost all the non EU workers in Poland illegally? Or do the legal workers wait the work permit 8 monthes?

I understand your do not want to wait for an employee for 8 months. That so? I have to find the way to accelerate the process of obtaining work permits...
